Staying Healthy and Living
Well
How to live to be 100 years old
Staying
Healthy and Living Well is a 10-session, cross-disability
course for older adolescents. For use by classroom
teachers and youth leaders, these courses focus on helping
young people learn to manage their own health care as
they move from school to work.
Evaluation
measures student knowledge, attitudes, and behavior
before and after taking the course. Homework
is a key element of this course, and parents
sign off on homework assignments and also complete surveys
before and after the course.
Who should
take Staying Healthy?
This
course will benefit those age 16-21
who will soon be making independent decisions about
their lives.
