Confidentiality Policy
Participants

During Living Well Iowa classes, we talk about our lives. We talk about our plans, hopes, and problems. We hope you will feel free to talk about yourself and your life.

We know we may be talking about things that are personal. You may not want what you say to be shared with anyone outside the class. Not even with family, friends, or health care providers. We will respect your privacy.

Our policy is that the things we talk about in class are private. They will not be shared with others, unless:

You say you are going to hurt yourself.
You say you are going to hurt someone else.

If you tell us that you want to hurt yourself or someone else, we will tell others. That is because we don’t want you to be hurt, or to hurt another person.
